The language of Ephesians 4:11-16 reveals the body of Christ is to be built up in Him. “We are to grow up in every way into Him who is the Head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” There are many ways to encourage working together and growing together. One way we have pursued this is by embracing a “ministry team” model. We encourage all our members and regular attenders to consider bringing their gifts and talents to the mission of strengthening our church community life and witness. There are may ways to love and care for our church family and our church property. There are many different ways we can “reach out” into our community. Our ministry teams put our peoples’ skills and interests to work. We currently have eight (8) ministry teams, each one focusing on certain aspects of our Body life. It may not seem like you are growing up into maturity in Christ when you are watering the church shrubs or cleaning up after a church-wide Christmas party. However, as team members work together on tangible goals and projects, together we experience the increase of order and beauty, the deepening relational bonds, and the joy of working together for the honor of Christ’s name.
